Quack attack.

I am back, and rhyming at that. But yeah, I have returned from PAX, bearing many posters and a Jonathan Coulton shirt. I debated whether to get the nice looking JoCo shirt or the "I visited skullcrusher mountain", and ended up with the former, because I can wear that one more places than the latter, and it'll also be a little fun joke with myself to have. I sadly did not get to meet the Coulton, but his concert definitely rocked. I did manage to talk to Felicia Day though, which was totally awesome. I told her to check out Paul and Storm's podcast, which regards her rather heavily at parts. I told her too about their ongoing talks of how long until she notices them on twitter. She said that she'd check them out, and maybe string them along for a little while. She is the cutest thing, I have to say.

I also managed to get the autographs of two of the guys from RedVsBlue, specifically Gus who plays Simmons, and the guy who plays Caboose. I wish I could have talked with Church too, because that guy is even snarkier in life than he is on the show, which is just so awesome. I'm not really a person who cares much about signatures of famous people, but it does make for an opening to say hello, so I now have a PAX book signed by a half-dozen people, including Gabe and Tycho. I love that Tycho signs exactly like his posts, with his clan walrus tag, the ((CW))TB. It's just very amusing.

Incidentally, meals in Seattle are freaking expensive. I got a lunch size Caesar salad with chicken for $13, which is rather a bit much. Oddly, except for that one meal, I paid practically no sales tax on anything I bought while in Seattle, which is really weird. I bought two books at a Barnes and Noble, and I'm not even sure if they even charged me sales tax. It's an odd experience paying what the price actually says.

Well poo.

I just discovered this afternoon that I am no longer in possession of my driver's license. Somewhere between the Seattle airport and here I have lost it. I am rather worried as to its precise location and, more specifically, who might have it. I have sudden visions of people out there, ruining my credit. Noooo! But anyway, I'm going to the DMV tomorrow to get a replacement id, and I've left messages with the lost and found of both the seattle airport and United, so hopefully they'll find it before anyone else does. I called my bank, and they said that a person would also have to have my bank number or my social to get in, neither of which is on the id, so hopefully I have mostly dodged a bullet. We'll see.
