"That's insane troll logic!"

Ugh. Okay, I am so going to bomb CS 302 if this damn book doesn't get any easier to read. Seriously though, I've read my share of ear-bleeding Computer programming books, this one by far takes the cake. It's virtually incomprehensible, and there's nothing to be done about it.

Take this passage as for instance:
"Typically the definition of the virtual computer is described as an automaton, but an automaton that is far more complex than the simple automata models used in the study of syntax and parsing. The automaton has an internal state that corresponds to the internal state of a program when it is executing; that is, the state contains all the values of the variables, the executable program, and various system-defined housekeeping data structures. A set of formally defined operations are used to specify how the internal state of the automaton may change, corresponding to the execution of one instruction in the program."

And it goes on like that. And trust me, it's no more understandable to someone who knows most of those words. The whole book just goes on and on without acually saying anything understandable. I'm thinking of snapping and going on some sort of a spree. Maybe something with fire and sharp pointy things.
