Oh Bitch Bitch Bitch
I had the bestest time last night. Finally, both new Buffy and SV, and both were great.
First things first, I thought the Buffy last night was incredible. I loved the whole Spike/Faith chemistry, and even the buddy relationship between Buffy and Faith. Oh, and the Xander speech just plain rocked (and the Faith comment was icing on the cake). I love the way that this whole thing is panning out, and I completely didn't see the Xander eye-pop coming at all. That part, I must say, kind of really squicked me and I like my Xander's whole, but I enjoy the fact that they are willing to turn things on their ass, I really do, plus the whole acknowledging how important Xander really is. It just occurred to me that he'll probably once again prove very important in the final moments, although whether it will be good or bad is beyond me; it all depends on how he takes the eye thing. As much as I regret the end of the show coming, I think it makes for more interesting tv because they're willing to mix things up and go for the big bang.
Smallville was pretty good last night, although I think the whole Cyrus parts seemed a little rushed. I would have liked to see this spread out over another episode. Would have made a big difference I think. Okay, I am a partial KK fan, but I hate that hideous pink! The girl looks great in everything else, so why do they put her in that crap?
Did anyone else notice how Chloe copped a little Clark back in the beginning? She was totally lingering.
And now for the bitching. Am I the only one who is sick and tired of the back and forth squabblings between Chlarkers and Clunkies? I mean come on! Okay yes, Lana has issues with abandonment, it happens. And yes, she gets a lot of screen time, boo freaking hoo. And I'm sure there are plenty of things said about Chloe as well, but I must be missing most of them. I like both girls/ships and I can't stand all the little digs from one group to the other. They both have their problems and their great sides. Not that people don't have a right to complain, but I have the right to complain too, and I'm tired of it. If people have a genuine gripe, I can deal, but even then, repeating it endlessly isn't winning anyone points here. I point fingers at no one, except maybe the loudest and most obnoxious from each group. Bitching ending in 5...4...3...2...monkey.
