Wellity wellity wellity

I've been reading all of the responses so far to everyone's thoughts on Exile, mainly that people like it, with the exception (of course *eye roll*) of Lana, and of Lex's acting. Now, I liked everything about the new episode, except for the terrible use of background for some of that island hallucination bit, although to be fair, that could have been intentional.

Frankly, I don't think it was all that odd for Lex to have gone a bit crazy on the island. True, it may have been that he never actually caught malaria as he has a very good immune system, but really, he very well could have. Just because he never caught a cold doesn't mean he's ever been up against malaria as well as poor food and water. And secondly, even if he didn't, it makes perfect sense to me, especially after what his alter ego said in the dream. I believe it was something along the lines of having everything stripped down to nothing and ending up with just himself. Lex is obviously a messed up person inside. He's got serious issues, but without any of the rich and powerful world that he had before in the way, he had 3 whole months of complete self searching, and I don't think he liked what he saw. It makes perfect sense to me that after 3 months of having to live with himself, he'd go crazy.

And as for the whole Lana/Chloe thing, I think the important thing is to think about Chloe. Yes, she kept Clark's secret for 3 months, even from Lionel, but the important thing is that in the end, she didn't keep it. And as for Lana not telling the Kents about Clark until she actually was sure that she had found him and that something was wrong, that doesn't seem wrong to me. If it were me, I'd rather not make the parents fret over a false lead or anything.

Oh, and Angel ruled so much. The previews had me in gales. Woo!
