Good ol' youtube, randomly playing songs for me that I haven't heard since I was a teenager. Some nostalgia can be weird though. I mean, I went through a Bloodhound Gang phase. I can still remember most of the words to Bad Touch, which is a fairly horrifying thought. Though listening to a few of these again, I can see the appeal on a purely musical and poetic approach. They were terrible human beings, but they made catchy music. I'm currently rocking out to I Hope You Die. That is all.

There are some songs I hear that bring back sweet memories, but others I can't handle anymore. It's not because of bad memories, but the lyrics are just so crude and evil! I don't know what's happened to me there... Maybe it's just how my view of the world has changed and the fact that I had taken God back into my life... Even though some of the songs I listen too today aren't any better. Maybe more sexual in nature because that seems to be most of the songs I hear today on the radio. I love the 80s rock station and such.

I've always had difficulty on focusing on the words to most songs, which works in my favor often because some of the most beautiful songs are just terrible. Though I find the best way to not be affected by anything too much is just not listen to any one song/band/type too much at a time. That's one reason why I never got more into the guitar, though I quite wanted to. I discovered that I would have to permanently imprint the song in my head, but even the songs that I think are okay aren't super great to have on repeat a ton. I love Jonathan Coulton and wanted to learn some of his songs, but found it not all that healthy to have such worldly ideas constantly in mind. It's annoying how niche a spot it is that worship music fills. It's a lot of the same anymore. At least I was able to learn a number of video game songs without any personal issues.
