My current favorite lyrics are playing over and over in my head today. Mostly due to me playing ti over and over for the time being, but still.
~I don't want to run away but I can't take it, I don't understand
If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am?~
In other news, I completely forgot an assignment that was due today for discrete. We've had the blasted proofs to do for like a week now, and I've been thinking about it all week, then suddenly, yesterday, the day in which to do it, I completely spaced it. I even did other homework for discrete, but I just completely forgot to do that one. *faceplants* I'm just hoping it wasn't a lot of points, although, even if it's one a quiz grade, it's not helping me any. On the plus side, I got my program back, the one I fixed, and I now have 9/10 instead of 1/10, which is just keen.
Any gamer who frequents any comic sites or gaming news area probably knows that Marvel is attempting to sue the makers of City of Heroes due to the fact that there are a bunch of people making knockoffs of marvel characters. It's been suggested that they only seem to care because they're probably working on their own thing and want theirs to have some appeal. Then I read over at ctrlaltdel that basically the creator is blaming anyone who makes a character clone. If I were a lesser person, I might feel the need to flip him off, but I'm not, so I'll only suggest it. The fact is, I don't see a problem with people making famous superhero clones or lookalikes, and in fact have two of my own. My main character is my own creation of course, but I have two tankers that I've made to look similar to the hulk and superman. Frankly, I don't see what's so bad about it. Besides the fact that it'll probably be considered "fair use", I think it's kind of cool. I mean, I can create most any person I've ever wanted to be and play like them. Granted, they all have their own tweaks. My hulk guy has a flaming aura and glowing fists for instance. There was no nifty S and no cape for my supes, but I still think their cool. It's nostalgic, it's fun, and well, pppbbbbttttt to anyone who thinks otherwise. I mean, so there are like 20 wolverines running around the city, who cares? Wolverine is cool.
