I have a way of noticing trends, and sometimes the big picture, if I'm not too busy collapsing from sleep deprivation anyway. Oh sure, I get 6, 7 hours of sleep, but I need more. Anyhoo, I have noticed some very odd trends in the nature of fear.

Clowns! Lawn Gnomes! Calculus! Just some of the many things people fear. But why are such things feared so dreadfully? Why is it that clowns strike fear in the hearts of so many of you freaks (:p), and yet so many of us find jesters not in the least bit frightening? My guess is the rapid increase of dairy products and spray cheese, but that's my reason for everything, so that may not actually be true. What is it about the painted grin brings doom? Okay, I can see not going for the whole "gutting, decapitating, evil clown thing," but what's wrong with the rest of them?

And lawn gnomes, wow. Imagine discovering something you find funny causing people to curdle in terror, perhaps with some whey, I'm not quite sure about that part. I mean c'mon, what's not to find humorous about squat little wooden things with a point (boy did that sound dirty or what).

Certain fears seem to have a definite gender bias to them as well. I personally know one fear who shall remain nameless who has so many restraining orders and sexual harassment lawsuits, it's not even funny. Okay, it is, but I wouldn't laugh in his face about it. Okay, I would, but...uh...whatever.
Don't believe me about gender bias? Mention Calculus to nearly any girl, and watch her cringe like only dirty toenails on a chalkboard can hope to achieve. Guys often feel the same way about other things, but we tend to worry about everything, rather than focusing on one or two things, like evil pudding conquering the world and such. I swear that damn banana flavor is stalking me, and all the little kids I planted in the yard just don't seem to be working. What was I talking about?

In conclusion, uh, stuff. Yeah, that or don't buy stock in that lousy cheating asbestose company. Wave of the future my ass...bater. :)

Me!
