My kingdom for a donkey, my mind for a mule.

So shall I rest forevermore in the halls of tomorrow
from whence comes the errant night so cold and lonely
and the hallways echo dark intrusions in the mind.
Endless dreams awaken my slumber from what I cannot
deem to guess, yet shall I continue on my endless path
on which I have unwittingly found myself following.
Forgotten memories linger and lie within my head
and whisper endless secrets I have not the words for
and perhaps never will, but yet shall I listen for.
Sweet songs caress my face as if the dawn has come,
yet no more light do I find in these empty halls,
nor do the phantom calls that make me weep abound.
For my burdens I shall allow myself the gleam of hope
that creeps from the parting words of a love long lost
to the fated hands of yesterday, for you I wait.

You make me laugh you make me smile
When my day's gone wrong and you come along
I feel my face light up and the fun begins
Which leaves as quickly when you go
Energized I joke to make you laugh and grin
It's just so when we talk and I love it
I make every move with you in mind
And I think I want a bowl of ice cream
