Get get get get over it.

Blah blah blah war-cakes and so forth. I don't really care to go over what everyone has discussed a million times already, but I suppose I need to get it out a bit. First off, I agree with the President (our damn leader and chief here people) in his decision to do this. Okay, so it would be nice if war weren't necessary, but I think it is. Saddam has been given warnings and rules for years now and should have been dealt with years ago. The fact that he continues to build weapons and hide them should mean something. Just because he hasn't done anything major yet means nothing. The fact that he has used his weapons on his own people ought to suggest that this man is stockpiling for more than just peace of mind.

Okay, part two of this little rant is about the idiocy (not really a strong enough word, but it'll do) of the news in this country. I can understand wanting to inform the public about a war starting and all, but an hour and a half consisting of 5 minutes of footage and speculation is freaking load of crap. I'm partially PO'd about them cutting off Angel, but it's more than that. Just show the damn footage, say what you know for sure, and recap in the damn morning!!! And how stupid is it to telegraph every move the military is going to take on every major channel? *screams incoherent obscenities*

The Rest Is Silence

How does one say the words that won't come out,
those words to the world you want to shout?
Boiling beneath and about my frantic mind now,
they scramble for an escape but don't know how.
Like the blazing sun they scorch inside me,
driving my calm, my quiet, my very sanity.
Yet still they haunt my brain and will not leave,
though I wish so that into speaking I could weave,
those words that will not stop from coming,
from their feverish and nonstop maddened humming.
Why can I not find the way to simply speak,
and in those moments stop being so very weak?
Speak for me though mouth of mine so clear,
speak those words both harsh and so dear.
