Inside or Out
Jul. 2nd, 2003 01:14 pmThere is a place that I know,
That I keep all to myself.
And deep down inside it lurks.
Waiting to release its burden.
Locked away in the depths,
It shifts with unease born
Of constant thought and deed,
Thinking only of one, who,
In the fleeting hours to come,
Shall forever set it loose.
In hallowed reverence it stays,
Pausing for its time yet to be,
Wanting more than all it has
To let go of the heart inside,
And in that moment be free.
That I keep all to myself.
And deep down inside it lurks.
Waiting to release its burden.
Locked away in the depths,
It shifts with unease born
Of constant thought and deed,
Thinking only of one, who,
In the fleeting hours to come,
Shall forever set it loose.
In hallowed reverence it stays,
Pausing for its time yet to be,
Wanting more than all it has
To let go of the heart inside,
And in that moment be free.
