Blah

For my creative writing class, I have to go out this weekend and eavesdrop on someone's conversation, writing it down verbatim, then continue on writing the conversation after the people have left. The funny thing is I'm more embarrassed to be seen writing in a journal than I am on listening in on a conversation. Is that wrong, and is it still wrong if I don't want to do it at all?
