Ooh, almost forgot.
Nov. 10th, 2003 09:57 amI saw some kick-ass and truly awesome movie previews when I went in to see the Matrix this weekend. I'd forgotten that they were making both an Alamo movie, and Troy. Personally, The Alamo looks like it would kick some serious ass, but unless they end up changing history and have somebody survive (well, Davy Crocket and a half dozen people made it, but only for a few days before being killed as war criminals, but I doubt that part will be in there anyway), I'd rather not have to go through the tragedy. But Troy, hoo hoo hoo! Man, that preview, just completely blew me away. First of all, Brad Pitt? One the coolest actors ever, so that's a plus, but just the scale of everything blows my mind. I mean, they showed what must have been hundreds of thousands of boats, and then Troy. Man that thing was big. I'm drooling over the thing already. The one about a sudden cataclysm and new ice age was intereting, but I dunno how interesting. That one may be a toss up.
*edited to laugh hysterically
I just discovered that Pitt is going to be playing as Achilles, and while it *can* be a heroic tale, it's pretty well known that he was interested in, ahem, other pursuits. I just know there's going to be some serious slash writing after this movie...
