Had a pretty great christmas today. Wasn't any snow, but it was fun, if not a little weird now that my brother isn't here. I wonder what they do christmas-wise in boot camp anyway...

Anyhoodly-doodle, I got some pretty nifty things, and that's not even including a partridge and a pear tree. I got some new flannel sheets for one. I wore out the old ones, plus I got me a cool new down comforter that's all sewed up so it won't have all the feathers shift to the sides and leave me all cold. Got a bunch of little Simpsons knicknacks, like a calendar, a little squeezey homer, and a magic 8-ball with a bunch simpson like quotes for answers. And of course, the always needed christmas candy. Sour altoids, lots o' bubbleyum and chocolate, etc. I mostly got gift cards and such this year, which isn't bad, although the gift card to borders will be gone in 2 seconds to buy the season 5 of Buffy. As for the last stuff, I oddly got several things with my college name on it. Mom felt like I needed some sort of proof of where I go or something, although considering how bastardly the college has been about completely cutting my major and trying to shut down CS, I'm not sure I want to proudly proclaim from wence I come. And I don't use binders, nor do I really wear hats, although this one is tempting as it's so comfy. I just hate how it completely kills my hair. But the shirt and the spacious coffee cup are pretty keen.

The "from:" labels on my presents just keep getting weirder and weirder as I grow older. Growing up, I just always had presents that said they were from mom and dad, or it was just implied (we never had the whole belief in santa clause thing, which I am very greatful for, I must say), but now that I'm old enough, mom seems to go nuts with who the presents are from. I got one from Socrates and Einstein I think this year. And previous years, I've gotten presents from the animals and various holiday creatures, such as the tooth fairy, or the easter bunny. I think people get really weird when they get older.

Me!
