So I was pretty dead tired this morning and so not ready for a test in philosophy. I for the life of me could not get to sleep last night, which was just a pain in the ass. Anyway, I spent the first two hours of school trying deperately cram any last minute thoughts of philosophy in that I could. However, it turned out that the test is actually on wednesday, and today was just a review day. It said that on the sylabus, but the teacher has been keeping to it so much so far, so I figured her giving us the questions to study for on friday, and some of the things she said, meant it was today. Anyway, I'm glad that I'll probably be more rested and ready for the test this next time around, but I still wish I had just gotten it over with. On the plus side, we got out like 15 minutes early, so I finally worked up the nerve to go up and ask her if she had ever read Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, which, if anyone has ever read it, is just a masterpiece of logical thinking and reason in regards to true belief. I figured that as long as she was going to bring up all these various thinkers, I might as well let her know of one I particularly like. I was rather surprised that she hadn't heard of it, but at least she has now.
Lunch wasn't terrible and I had Numb by Linkin Park stuck in it for most of it, so that was cool. Also got to go up to the computer lab for like 15 minutes and talk to Maria for a bit. I really enjoy her sense of humor, so it's always fun, although I still get rather tongue tied and babbly around her, which rather annoys me.
Sociology was rather weird. Today and wednesday, the class is watching the movie Badlands, with a young Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek, and is completely retarded. I would so love to just ignore it, except that after it's over, we have to write on three sociological questions about the movie, and each question is worth half of a test, so the whole thing is worth more than a test, which rather blows.
On a funny note, my brother's girlfriend finally came over and had me help make good on her threat. He gets back from bootcamp on saturday, but now he has a special surprise waiting for him. Between the two of us and mom, we have completely pinked and girled up his room. Pink disney princess posters dot his wall, pink crepe paper adorns every edge of his ceiling, and comes to a point on his ceiling fan. There are little pink umbrellas, paper princess hearts, and regular papery hearts everywhere. There is this plasticky miniature curtain looking thing around every edge of his dresser and computer desk. I have several pictures, but I have no where to host them yet, so that'll have to wait. Anyone who can't wait, feel free to IM me. *snickers evilly*
