Chronicles of Riddick

Mmmmmmmmmm, that's a good movie. I didn't really care much at all for Pitch Black when I saw it, but this movie kicked so very much ass. Seriously, very cool. Riddick ruled, the special effects rocked, and the storyline kicked as well. The only beef I have with it is the same one I have with a lot of movies anymore, that during the action sequences, the camera work blew chunks. I mean, I get that it's a fight, and it's supposed to be jumbled, but the camera not only jerks all over, but the editing during the fights can give you a seizure. It would be so much better if the sequences had been a bit smoother, definitely so if they used even a tiny bit of bullet time. Even slowing down the fights by a few frames a second would really have helped. But aside from that, I think the movie rocked my proverbial socks off. A must see. And that's not even mentioning how freaking hot Alexa Davalos is. I'm not sure whether I liked her better in this or in Angel though... But anyway, cool movie.
