I finally got the damn visual end of linux to work. Being able to actually see your operating system should not be a cause for celebration, but linux makes even the most rudimentary things an epic struggle. I think my net won't work for it yet, but that's something I can check into later. For now, I'm just excited to have figured out how to fix it. It was the tiniest little thing that I have no clue of either. Apparently, the autodetect detects two separate heads or something in my video card, and I had to tell it to only configure one or something. It's confusing, but it works, so that's good. Now I'll be able to actually do some linux based things on my own linux instead of crashing the mail server at school.

And in even better news, I'm going to go to laser tag tonight with a good number of people from c-life. Although, of all days for it to happen, I pulled something in my back in my workout this morning, and have been dizzy ever since to varying degrees. Sudden movements, looking down, bending over -- all make me get a wave of dizziness, which knowing laser tag, may mean I won't be able to play too many games, which is a definite bummer. But at least I should be able to hang out with everybody for a little while.

Woo, that was some fun friday night. I never get to go out and do things, much less do things with people, so the laser tag tonight was killer fun. We got to play 2 games of ten minutes for $5 a piece, which I think is pretty good. It's not the hugest room, but it's big enough, and plenty fun. Although, I do think that the green side has more of a tactical advantage in the positioning of things, especially for as large of groups as we had. I got to play both sides, so I think I can tell the difference. It ended up with 6 on 7, which wasn't bad though. The first round we won 175-97, then we rearranged groups and we lost 80something to 200 something. But it was good fun. It's amazing how exhausting only 20 minutes of laser tag can be.

I also got in a few rounds of X-men vs. Street Fighter in the arcade before hand, which is so fun. It's been so long since playing that I forgot pretty much all of the moves, but I can still kick the computer's but pretty well, although I don't do so well against human players, even if they aren't so good against the computer. Something to different in patterns and such against humans vs. computer players. Humans are more intuitive, or maybe just mash buttons more, I'm not really sure. Anyway, it was almost a complete success as far as my night went. I mean, even my dizzines went away during the whole time. The only downside was that Maria had said she planned on going, but she never did. Disappointing a bit. I was looking forward to getting to talk to her a little bit more, maybe finally finding out if she still has a bf or not. That bit of missing info is driving me crazy to no end, although I can't really just come out and ask her. Anyway, other than that, twas a great night.

Me!
