Not really much to say today, which of course makes me want to post a lot. Irony kills me every time.

My sickness seems to be almost over, although I dare say it will linger gradually for a few more days before it's totally gone. All I really have left is the nose full to the brim of snot, which can cause it's own problems to be sure. I'll have to be skimpy on the milk for a few more days, and all the nose blowing tends to screw the pressure in my ears and head, but that's only temporary...mostly.

In other news, I'm keen over my new hard drive as now I can download some shows I want to see from Suprnova. Although, it annoys me beyond the telling of it to be getting a max of like 10KiB/s download speeds on average, while the upload speeds from me can go up to like 20 or 30 KiB/s. I let a 1808 meg file download yesterday for like 14-16 hours, and got something like 19% done. At this rate, I'll get very annoyed. Whoops, too late. :P

I have but one thing to say.

Gah, stupid computer and bit torrent. I was letting some stuff download, and playing a little music. That was the extent of the computer processes being done. And then it just sort of shut itself down, stopped responding to any commands. Bastard. My guess is it was probably winmgnt, which is something windows likes to run that sucks up resources for no conceivable purpose. Either way, I lost a good 3-4% of my 3 gig download, which I think comes to 90-100 megs, which at the speeds I'm downloading at, really sucks. Regardless though, it'll probably be several more days until I get to watch either of my downloads, which, needless to say, is a definite bummer.

Nose stuff

My mom, knowing I'd never do it on my own, made an appointment for me with the nose and allergy people in a few weeks. I'm not exactly thrilled about this, as I hate hate hate going to a doctor of any sort, partially because of the waiting, and partially just because it sucks. But I suppose it needs to be at least looked at. Of course, if it requires a bunch of medication there's no chance in hell I'm going with it. Partly because of price, and partly because I hate putting crap in my body. I could stand an inhaler if that's what I need, but frankly I think that much of my problem is the airways in my nose not being open enough, which will probably require surgery at some point. Blech.

The most annoying part is that she scheduled it yesterday (she first scheduled it the day before my physics test, which is a total no-no), and today this really thick letter came in the mail today. It's like 10 pages front and back of crap I'm going to have to fill out. And I really don't know a lot of things medical lists tend to ask. Like anything involving family medical history is right out. Although I may not have so much of that in this case. Still. Bah.
