Man, that physics lab has burned out my brain. I am contemplating a good fetal curl with some rocking. Man, I looked at the instructions last night and thought it'd be cake, an hour tops. Noooooo. Apparently it involved concocting differentiable functions out of force equations. And not to mention, I screwed up with the numbers once or twice, and had no clue what exactly I wanted to find. I like the math part of our labs, the whole find the right equation and plug and chug, but there was just a tetch too much today. *shudders* Brain all broken now. So much pain.

And now I have to go to the nose/allergy specialist guy and get my back all scratched to find out just what exactly I'm allergic to. Glee.

Ugh.

Allergy tests suck. That is all.

I find it hard to argue with God sometimes. I have been told, and I think it's correct, that God can appreciate a good argument from his children. It's better to be hot than lukewarm after all. But anyway, I, on the occasion when I just can't handle it anymore, I start arguing with him. It's hard though, and not because it's really hard to hear him back, but because on the times he does, he's quite effective at ending it. I don't know about other people, but when I start in, he starts paraphrasing Job in my head. It's kind of hard to argue when you realize that he knows everything and does it all for a reason. It kind of helps to put things in perspective sometimes.

I got tested for a bunch of different allergens today when I went in for my appointment. I think I got somewhere between like 30 and 40 little pricks/scratches on my back, several of which are still a bit inflamed, but they'll go away soon enough (And holy crap, did those suckers itch like a bastitch for the first 15-20 minutes). The tests pretty much confirmed what I already knew. I'm allergic to pretty much every kind of tree (except for ponderosa pine for some reason), nearly every kind of mold and weed, and super allergic to grass. I'm also apparently allergic to both cats and dogs, but I'm not bloody well going to keep my pets out of my room or anything. I'm happy that I don't really have any food allergies though. I thought I'd be at least slightly allergic to milk, but I'm not, but what I found funny is that I am slightly allergic to soy. Anyway, the doc (whose breath seriously smelled like someone had farted in it, which was just gross) has prescribed me to do some saline nose cleanings, a really high dose of allegra apparently (he said 180mg, whatever that means), an inhaler for possible exercise induced asthma (luckily no regular asthma on that front, although I'm not at 100% capacity. More like high 80s to low 90%), and nose spray, which actually freaks me out a little. The packet he gave me of cures for allergies and such say that with nose spray that the stuff has been known to eat through the wall between nostrils, which is seriously disturbing. And I hate things going into my nose and down my throat.

But I'll try it to see if any of the stuff works. I'm hoping the allegra won't work, as I really dislike being medicated, even if there aren't really any risks. I tend to like to leave most things naturally. He also said I might be a good candidate for allergy shots and we might try that if nothing else works. I'm really not thrilled about a shot a week for a year, but we'll see.

Me!
