I finally found a good vcr for cheap in my searchings today. My current Toshiba vcr, which has lasted the family something like a decade, and possibly longer, has decided to die recently. Not entirely die, but good as, seeing as how it will randomly start fast-forwarding at rapid speads for random lengths of time. So yeah, pretty dead. So, given the $100 I got for christmas, I've been searching for a cheap, but still quality vcr. Very hard to find, I must say. I think of the various stores I've been to, I've found a total of 6 different vcrs that weren't combined with a dvd player, which would be nice, but a bit out of the price range. Plus, I already use my PS2 as a dvd player, so it's not like I needed to have one. Anyhoo, I tracked one down in walmart that's a decent brand and doesn't cost $80, which is a total gyp that anyone would even try selling a vcr for that high of a price. But, I got a Sanyo brand for like $53, which left me enough to go and buy Soul Caliber 2, which is a wonderful edition to my game collection.
I still have a little cash left over, with which I've been contemplating buying the latest Michelle Branch cd, but which Hastings didn't have, so maybe later. I've been listening to 'Til I Get Over You, and it's one of those songs that makes one want to go out and buy the whole thing for. Plus, I like most all of her other songs anyway, so tis but a sweetening of the pot. But anyway, I'll have to look into seeing if Borders sells it as cheaply as Hastings. *laughs*
