State of the monkey is...Taupe.
Feb. 1st, 2005 11:52 amI wish I knew exactly what taupe was, but I get the general gist of it. Not much to say I spose, though I do feel the need to lj a bit. Not sure why exactly, but that's okay, I don't really care.
I'm almost done with Hamlet, which is good, though I have quite a bit of reading left for various other things. I'm not looking forward to the discussion on Hamlet though. The teacher has already spoken a bit on it, and she seems to have a huge ass bee in her bonnet about Hamlet having "problems" with the idea of his mother having sex, which seems to be completely missing the point, that it's the incest part that he squicks over. I don't find the attitude terribly surprising though, as my teacher used to be the head of women's study, and tends to bring a rather...unique attitude to shakespeare.
I did get to go down and see Maria in the calc lab for a good hour or two last night. Twas fun, though I always walk away kicking myself for one or two things I've said. I so need to ask her for coffee again sometime soon.
