You know, I'm getting rather annoyed with all the stuff I hear lately, all the back and forth about how our country was or was not founded on christian values or whatnot. Okay, so here's the thing, it doesn't matter. Some of the founding fathers were christians, and some weren't. I don't care whether the "In God We Trust" was added to our money 50 years ago or last tuesday. Granted, our founders were trying to make a good rule for our country, but whether they meant one thing or the other is not important so much as what it should be now. It's up to us to keep morality and decency in the system, or if it is not there, to add it in. There is one addendum to this idea though. All countries, all governments, fall. They degrade, they crumble, they go into moral, monetary, and political decline. This being the case, most governments start out better than the end, and usually the decline is a slope downward for the most part. So, in that sense, some of the things the founders of a country thought up, they might indeed be a good thing at times. However, the reason that all civilizations fall is because people are flawed and in the long run will corrupt things. A civilization does not start out with perfect people that degrade with society, though they will get worse along with society. Rather, people are flawed in the beginning as well as the end. It's just that in the beginning, at least they have some new idea, and an outsider's look at things. It is easier to see the flaws from the outside.
