Middle of everything seems about right.

The Chronicles of Narnia

It's always amazed me at how few people realize that the chronicles of narnia are christian. Even a lot of christians don't seem to know it, and I find that utterly amazing. C.S. Lewis was an amazing christian writer, which should at least clue some people in, though not a lot of people know that either. Granted, I was told since childhood that the chronicles were in a sense christian, but I find it hard that people don't seem to see all the parallels, especially when so many people have read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Granted too, there is a lot of mythical characters in there as well, but the core of the books is christian. Aslan is Jesus. His dying in place of Edmund was the crucifiction. The Emperor over the Sea is God. The Last Battle is mostly Revelation. The Magician's Nephew is partly Genesis. I know a lot of people have only read the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, but it still amazes me that people don't even have an inkling of the christian tones in the book(s). I find it funny for some reason. I'm not sure why exactly, nor why it also amazes and annoys me simultaneously. Ah well.
