I didn't end up seeing Kingdom of Heaven friday night after all. One of the group couldn't see R rated movies, so we wound up watching The Interpreter. I rather liked it. I didn't expect to, but I did. Sean Penn was just perfect and I rather liked Kidman with an African accent. Heather hated it with a passion, though I'm not entirely sure why, though she did quite hate any of the mushy type scenes and said it was too predictable. I think the others liked it though. Not much else to report at the moment.

Dream a little dream
May. 8th, 2005 10:05 amI've been having some weird-ass dreams the last week or so. I'm not sure why, but they're all very random and odd. Like, the other night I had a long in depth dream involving a new semester at school. The first class was like a 300 level in something I had no clue of, astronomy or something, and a girl from high school sitting next to me. The next class was a class on sci-fi I think, and was taught by Kevin Sorbo. I would never have imagined myself discussing sci-fi books with Kevin Sorbo, but there you go.
The one last night was definitely odd, and a bit episodic. It seemed that the dream was laid out as an old 16 bit Super Nintendo rpg, quite a lot like a combination of Final fantasy 6 and something else. It involved a rising darkness and time travel at one point. I don't quite remember all of it, but the end was quite odd and I think would make a kickass dream. This guy with the traveling of time takes this powerful kid way back in time to the beginning of when this darkness creature(s) came about. They ended up in this peaceful and idyllic place with really nice magically inclined people. They all sensed something odd about the one the traveler brought along, and it turns out that this kid's name is like an anagram for destroyer in their tongue or something, and he doesn't even know it. In finding out that he is the one responsible for corrupting and destroying so many, the kid is distraught and it his his anger over such a fate that inevitably leads to his turning. Sort of a self fulfilling thing. Man, it was weird and cool and who knows what else. I just wish I could see more of it really. I'm thinking it came from a combination of several things I've watched recently. The second Harry Potter last night, Andromeda, and who knows what else. I wish I could record some of my dreams.
