WinDVD Creator is a pain in the butt.
Sep. 17th, 2005 10:36 pmUgh. I've been trying to burn an avi file to dvd so we can watch it in our japanese club on monday night, but stupid windvd can't seem to get the blasted aspect ratio correct. It already is a bit wider than tall, but it super smushes it vertically and stretches it horizontally. I tried using a wide filter, but that only half fixes it. It's pretty much completely fixed if I change the length of time it's supposedly recorded for, but that makes the size too big to fit onto a single dvd. Maybe I'll be able to fit it onto two disks or something. Yeesh.
On the plus side, we may not need to have it on dvd to watch it if we can get the projector. That one has a computer attached, and I have the movie on my flashdrive. I can bring my laptop for backup as well. Plus, if we do it that way, we can watch it with subtitles. The movie is only softsubbed, which does not transfer to dvd anyway. I'm still going to try to get it to work though, if only so I don't have this problem at some later date.
