It's interesting.

I don't post in this thing anywhere near the amount that I used to. Not that that's all that interesting in of itself. Really, it's the why that I find intriguing. I have not decreased in the amount of things that I think about, nor have my opinions suddenly withered away. I still feel strongly about on certain topics I see popping up in the news or in other various places. Honestly, I think the reason is that I've been growing. Not that everyone goes this route when they grow, some do more even, but I find that this is the direction I find myself taking. Perhaps not all, but some of the reason seems to be that it just doesn't seem important to voice my annoyances or arguments anymore. It comes down to a mixture of things really. First of all, I think I'm finally beginning to see the point my friend Russell once made when he said that he never argued because arguing never really convinced people of anything. If anything, it often makes people more set in their opinions, regardless of how poignant an opposing view might be. Secondly, of what importance are my thoughts on any given subject? Unless I feel nudged to speak, then anything I have to say comes to naught in the end. Not that I'm taking the nihilistic view on things, perhaps it's even the opposite. I'm finally beginning to see what's more important, and what is less.

I do find it terribly and humorously ironic that I'm writing about not writing though. I do love a good irony. More thoughts whenever I feel anything's particularly pointed enough to speak on it. It'll probably be a post on pudding or jello as like as not.
