It's Superman!
Apr. 25th, 2007 11:52 amThat was the name of the book. I've been eyeing it the last few times I've gone into Borders, but I didn't really want to buy a hardback. Fortunately, I found it at the library. Unfortunately, I am not thrilled with how the book turned out. Oh, certainly the book is plausible, but it's not really Superman. We are told from the beginning that this book "reinvents" Superman. I quite like how it goes back to the 1920s and 30s, but honestly, I don't like the story. I don't like this version of Clark. It's just not him. I'm not really sure I like any of the characters in it. Not to mention how odd the ending is.
However, right after having finished the book, it did give me an interesting fic idea, which I started to write last night. Nothing huge, mind. More ficlet than anything. Maybe it'll be a page or two. It is quite fun to write, I must say. I think I'll post it up whenever it's finished. It won't be polished, but it should at least be interesting.
