You know, I quite object to the catholic church having hijacked the word "saint", overwriting the original, and correct, meaning. Anyone who spent any amount of time whatsoever reading the new testament would notice quite quickly that all believers were referred to as saints. Christians are to be sanctified, to be set apart from the world, and the word saint comes from the latin word that means just that. Being a saint has nothing to do with being dead, or having performed a certain number of verifiable miracles, or any such nonsense. If one is a true christian, then one is a saint, period. I severely dislike the misappropriation of such an important word.
