Sounds like a bad movie... But anyway, I saw this question on the geekson forum and had to gank it. The hypothetical situation is: you're on a long plane trip, somehow get bumped to first class, and you just happen to be seated next to the (living) celebrity you've always dreamed of meeting and conversing with. Given this, and the assumption that said celebrity will have no qualms discussing anything with you, who would you love to have hours and hours to talk to? Also, since they'll listen to anything, would you pitch them any ideas for a future work they could produce/star in/etc., and what would it be? Also, what would you in general like to discuss with said person? And if you can't limit yourself to just one, that's cool too.

As for me, the first person to pop into my head is Orson Scott Card. He's one of my absolutely favorite authors and usually has pretty well thought out responses for everything; that and many amusing smart-ass comments. I'm sure I could talk with him about darn near anything. As for ideas, I don't think I have many, save for an avatar-esque type of world, but with more, though he already did something similar with his Alvin Maker series, so I dunno.

My second ideal person would have to be someone from a Joss Whedon show, though I'm not sure I could really narrow it down from there. Maybe Joss himself, or if feeling more shallow, one of the lovely ladies from one of the shows. Sometimes too much choice really isn't a good thing...

Also, for my smart-ass answer, I'd say Jesus, seeing as he's risen and no longer dead.

Me!
