(no subject)

I dodged a bit of a bullet today. A book bullet. Basically, what had happened was that I got a call two days ago that two books I had checked out from the library were overdue. I called back and found that two of the books I had turned in like two weeks ago were still checked out for some reason. After checking, the librarian found one and checked it back in, but there was still one left, and she couldn't find it. So I went in today to ask about it. I was told that if not found, regardless of whether I had returned it, it would count as lost, and I would have to pay to buy a new copy, which would so suck. On a thought, I checked out the book racks, and lo, there it was, right where it should be. How could they check and not even look where it should be? Anyway, it's all fixed now, so bullet dodged.
