People are morons.

Sometimes the utter bile and viciousness of people for absolutely no reason takes me by surprise. Then I become more jaded and remember that such are people. Seriously though, I am again and again flabbergasted by the complete dickery of people, particularly online. I do not deny that the lack of actual people to temper one's words can lead to heightened emotions at times, but people can be such absolute dicks online for absolutely no reason. I mean, would you go to a concert just to yell at everybody what a fag everyone was and how much it sucked? No, you would not. Neither would you go to some school recital and yell swears and insults at the little kids. So why do people think it's okay to do online? You can honestly not go on a place like youtube without finding at least one such comment on any video. I mean, what the hell is the logic of putting the effort into finding videos you don't like, just to be obscene? If you like it, great! Comment on it! If you don't, then why the hell are you even there? If you must, say you don't like it. Don't insult the musician and call everyone queer for liking it!

I think what the internet needs is a service to track down d-bags and beat them severely. Like, people could accumulate points for being assholes and for every like 50 points or something, they would get a house call. Make it more like the real world, where if you talk too much crap, you're going to get it beaten out of you.
