I really hate elections.
Feb. 6th, 2008 09:23 amI'm finding myself rather apathetic of late in regard to presidential candidates. To be honest, I don't want to vote for any of them. I was leaning towards Romney for a while, but then I learned how adamantly pro-abortion he actually is. He says he's not, but there are some pretty damning quotes saying he is. I never used to care much about the abortion issue, but after reading some things, I've come to the conclusion that it matters more than almost anything else. There's a famous quote about how the true measure of country/nation/people/whatever is how it treats its helpless: it's elderly, ill, and infants. Obama and Hillary and very strongly in favor of abortion, so they are right out along with Romney. I don't have anything specific against McCain, except he's been slinging a lot of mud and has dropped in my favor. That only really leaves Huckabee, but I just don't know much about him. He's got a good sense of humor and seems a nice guy, but I don't know where he stands, or how well he'd do as president.
Le sigh. I hate talking politics. I need better candidates.
