Super time reversal

I always forget that in the first Superman movie, he reverses time by flying around the earth at super-speed and makes it turn backwards. I think I must mentally suppress the knowledge because it's just so silly. Much of the movie has aged well enough, but that bit is still terribly ludicrous every time I see it (that and how they handled him running fast as a teenager *cringe*). Now, if he was flying so fast that he was actually just breaking light speed and traveling back in time himself, that might be a bit more believable. Ah well. Christopher Reeves was definitely the most awesome Superman, not to mention the funniest Clark.
