I am now moved in, and thankfully we finally got the net working last night. There are few things more frightening then sudden net loss when you don't know how to get anywhere. I need my online maps to really visualize where the hell I'm going. I've spent the past few days not really knowing how to get anywhere, even to get to the store to pick up food and whatnot, so that's been rough. I walked several miles yesterday to get a feel for one of the main roads, so there's that. Now I can figure out how to go to the grocery store, which yay. It's been a little rough for me trying to get used to the new situation, but I'm thus far surviving. It's a pretty big house, so that's nice; and someone gave us a huge tv for the living room, which is really nice.
I need to get my bike fixed so that the seat is low enough for me to actually touch the ground while sitting on it. I need a few other things soon, but at least a few of the major necessities have been taken care of, like the shower curtain for the upstairs bathroom, so the 7 of us don't have to all use the small one downstairs that you can only get to by going through someone's room... It's an awesome house, but parts of it are seriously retarded. I don't know who rebuilt the thing to be mostly rooms to rent out, but they designed it really bizarrely. Like, the biggest room downstairs? The light switch is outside of the room in the hall, and the one switch in the room actually turns on the light in the bathroom. Stuff like that. Just weird.
