That's a lot of room.
Feb. 16th, 2009 12:51 amBased on commonly accepted belief that the biblical cubit measured about 18 inches, then the size of Noah's ark measured 450 feet long by 75 feet wide by 45 feet tall (four stories, broken into three floors). Think about it. That comes to a grand total of 1,518,750 square feet. One point five million square feet. That's a lot of space. I'm just saying.
Oh, and also, think of how many fewer animals there used to be. It is a well-accepted belief that all breed of dog came from one initial breed. Half of the current dog breeds didn't even exist a few hundred years ago. The same can be said of most cats, many birds, etc. Meaning, Noah would not have had to take twenty different pairs of dog, just one; and so on.
And now I am tired and am off to bed.
