Birthdays, movies, and games, oh my.
Jul. 18th, 2010 02:23 amWell, it's my birthday again, and that can only mean one thing; I just don't happen to know what that is... On the plus side, this particular birthday seems to be replete with much movie goodness. I've thus far seen Despicable Me and the Magician's Apprentice and I plan on seeing Inception come monday. Not to mention that I just bought Anchorman and watched it (I don't know why I haven't owned this movie already). I think I liked Apprentice slightly more than Despicable, but they were both quite good, so it's all, uh, good. I really like the actor who plays the apprentice, whatever his name is. He was the voice of the kid in How to Train Your Dragon, and he's really funny. Very droll wit and all. I also, due to birthday moneys, purchased a copy of Final Fantasy Tactics A2, and I have to say I'm rather enjoying it. It does a lot of things way better than its predecessors, and while I think the Judge system at times is a cheap, cheap bastard, even that is thus far way better than the previous one. Hopefully things will stay interesting enough for me to be able to finish it. I've not been able to do so with any of the previous tactics games, but this one seems to have a lot more of interest, particularly in the way of jobs, so I'm hoping.
Also, in unrelated news, summer in Boulder is going to just kill me, due to the heat; and I'm not talking temperature, I'm talking a million fit girls who wear very little. Gah! I can't even tell you how many times I've almost driven into a curb due to some hotness or ten walking past...
