The mainstream media and the liberals also talk about how much money will be lost if the tax rates remain the same. The money won't be lost by the government because it was never the government's in the first place.
The premise here is that all the money earned in this country belongs to the government and the government allows people to keep some of it. The money people earn belongs to the people who earned, it whether it is $10 an hour or $1 billion a year. The government takes some of it, but the government is taking it from the people who earned it, not the other way around.
