Been an interesting week.
Mar. 13th, 2011 12:05 amSo I've been at home with the fam for the past week and it's been much oddness. Last weekend I came up for my brother's graduation from helicopter school. He is now officially a helicopter. My grandma was up for that, so I got to see her as well.
Then, on monday, I went in for jury duty. I've only been called once or twice before, but the longest was when we came in for an hour, waited, then were told to go home. But this time I was actually selected to be on a jury. It was most interesting, albeit a three day long affair. It was both cool, and a little disappointing. The lawyers all took their sweet time, the witnesses couldn't seem to understand (or wouldn't) several key, if simple, questions. It was also an incident which involved 5 people all told, yet 4 of them each had fairly different stories, and the fifth couldn't even be found. Needless to say, we spent a good few hours debating who's testimony was more valid than whose, especially when it was pretty obvious everyone was lying in at least one aspect of their story.
Of the less fun, I have contracted some unpleasant bug that is making me feel most icky. I've spent much of the last few days watching movies and playing video games. Of course, this works out okay for my brother and I, as he just got the snip and can't really do much else either.
