Dang

It's been one hell of a month for yours truly. First off, several roommates flaked out on rent, leaving us in the lurch. Let me tell you, 2+ weeks of late fees is not fun. Nor is it fun when a roommate or two don't realize, or care in one case, that when a lease says to be out at such-and-such a time, you damn well get your ass in gear and move everything. I was not pleased to receive a call from an entirely pissed-off landlord regarding the unkempt and stuff-filled house. *headdesk* At least one of the two guys had a decent excuse, and even went so far as to call the land lord to apologize. I'm still pissed at the other one, who had volunteered to help at heavenfest, even though I had told him days before about when we needed to be out. I worked my ass off cleaning up his mess so the landlord wouldn't have to sue us, and the ass-clown didn't even bother to come back and help clean and move.

Meanwhile, thanks to a dearth of money, I have no new place to live. For the past week, and for the next few, I've been couch surfing from friend to friend, making sure not to stay too long in any one place, so as not to wear out my welcome. I would have just back in with the folks, but I just got a job last week, and while it's decent and pays well, it's complicated my life a bit more. I get paid bimonthly too, so it may be another month before I have enough for a place. Blech, I hate not having my own space. I need my routine and place of refuge to really function optimally. Ah well.
