Some friends of mine went out of town for a few weeks, and as I am without jobful responsibility, I said that I would house sit for them. They have quite a large house, and since they took the dogs with them, I really don't have much to do, save for to be here often enough to prevent break-ins. It's kind of nice, and kind of lonely, but as it's only my second day here, I think I'll wait for a routine to kick in.
The only downside, at least at present, is that I had not counted on the fact that they like to keep the thermostat at 63 degrees. I tend to not get cold easily, and I'd rather be too cold than too hot, but there've been a few times already when I've been shivering a bit. If it was closer than an hour plus drive away from home, I'd just swing by and pick up some sweaters. Oh, woe is me. :P
