Oct. 30th, 2012 04:51 pmI'm grateful that Maine is so far north of the main swell of Sandy. We really didn't get hit too badly. Our power went out in the evening, but is back already, so no big. It's been windy and rainy, but nothing like they've been getting elsewhere.
In other news, I'm feeling a bit stifled and bored of late. I like it here, mostly, but the folks have been a bit more intense since moving here. They're both pretty anxious at times, making for more conflict, which, added to mom going through menopause, is making for a home that I sometimes feel without refuge. It's weird. They've both been a lot more on me to get things done, like now. They keep dragging me everywhere too, which makes it hard to actually look for work. There's bit of satiric irony in this whole business. Bleh.
Also, I've been oddly tired ever since I got to Maine. My mind seems a bit sluggish too. I've been getting plenty of exercise and good food, so I don't know what's causing such. Possibly the much higher concentration of air here, but I really don't know. It's hard to think about things, and I'm not doing a great job at avoiding distractions either.
