So now I'm on my third week of work. I've been thinking about it. It has gotten a bit easier to some extent, mostly just because I've gotten the hang of many of the required things, where things are, etc. It still really sucks though. I don't even care that the money is pretty decent ($6.45 an hour, but we only get paid the last day of the month), I'd rather make less and be doing something I enjoyed more. I want a job at like a bookstore, where if things get suddenly busy, you just scan things faster, or not. When you're working the dishroom and suddenly a ton of people come, things get dirty, frantic, and sweaty. Not to mention that my back still hurts after a day's hard work. On the plus side, I dropped a shift. I was hoping for friday nights, especially with a bible study coming up in july, but I conceded to drop thursday nights instead. You do get a bit numb to the dirty stuff, though with food, never entirely as I've been told, but I just really hate working with food stuff. Honestly, I think the best times I've had at this job have either been serving people the food, or probably wiping down the many tables in the place. There's a certain joy and freedom to it. You're all alone in a sea of empty tables, doing a job that's not too dirty, and I can sing and whistle to myself.

I keep forgetting to call Borders to see if there's any chance that they're still hiring. Slim chance, but one never knows. That would be a much nicer job.

I wish I didn't complain so much. I sound so very whiny. Bad me. Whoops, I have to go feed the dog.
