It came to me today that a lot of my quippey remarks and sarcasm can be attributed to boredom and misplaced mental energy. This is after I realized that I'm not nearly as funny after an exhausting day at school. It's not until I get really tired and punchy that I can regain some of the lost humor I so sorely lack sometimes. That's not to say that I ever completely lose my sense of humor, but I think a good portion of it is directly related to how energetic my mind is. I'm constantly thinking up wisecracks and humorous ideas in my classes, and I think it's because I'm so often bored. Classes like Calculus and my Java class, I hardly ever speak and don't have all that much time to think up wisecracks, but the classes where they're saying stuff I already know, it just keeps coming out. Of course, I can always recognize a lot of things as being funny, but only when I have free brain power can I come up with a lot of my own.

It's interesting to think that I can be really different in personality if I'm mentally stimulated or not. Of course, if I'm being mentally stimulated to think up crazy things, then I can come up with some doozies. I must contemplate this some more.
