I've said it before and will say it again: I hate flip-flops. So much. Everything about flip-flops just bug the crap out of me, and sometimes I don't even know why. Needless to say, I'm not particularly fond of the summer months due to the proliferation of said footwear. It's not fair, but my attraction to girls will actually drop a bit when I see them wearing flip-flops; almost as much as if she were a smoker. Honestly, a lot of similar type sandals bug me too, though less so when they're more intricate/well-laced. I think I'm less averse to shoes that are practical.

I'm not keen on them, but even less so at work. I understand my own bias, though. My group alone of the entire facility (unless you want to count physical security, who have uniforms) have a dress code. Flip-flops are not on it. Not that I want to wear them, I'd rather no one see my feet, thanks! But it rather annoys me that, here is a list of things that are considered "unprofessional", yet pretty much anyone else who wants to wear something on it is allowed to do so. I think it's coloured my perception of how professional their attire is, whether that's fair or not.
