Despite all the little rumblings, I came to school ready and raring to ask Maria out for coffee. As I was climbing the stairs, I thought how funny it would be if today of all days she were sick or something. Of course, I promptly forgot it. Stupid stairs take the breath away. Anyhoo, got there to find irony had beaten me there. She is not here, and I cannot ask her. Fudge nuts.
