Space Opera

I rented The 5th Element last night, and as I was watching the always killer opera scene, it occured to me that there really aren't enough really cool operas out there. I mean, I love a good, powerful, strong, and moving opera song, but they so often go along with boring or old operas. It made me think, there really should be cool and modern operas (still sung in italian or whatever though, because modern english jsut doesn't have the oomph of one sung in italian), especailly some with a space theme, much like the one in the movie. And I don't mean some retarded one based off of star wars or trek (Although maybe if a Star Trek one were really well written...), but just a really cool one. Aliens singing in italian over some grand conflict, now there's an idea.
