~Told me you loved me, why did you leave me all alone...
Well, it looks to be official...in the non-official type way anyway. My computer is pretty much dead. It wouldn't boot up past the registry stage before countless crashings and blue screens of death, so I was rather near reformatting the blasted thing, but then I realized that I had burned a few of my bro's cds onto it, and I really wanted them backed up, especially as he isn't returning until mid July. I came up with the brilliant idea of doing the item by item boot deal, and simply bypassed using the registry, and luckily it worked...the first time anyway.
Of course, dumbass me, I spent my time surfing the net looking at exceptions and errors instead of actually using the shared network folder to pass over the important files. By the time I realized, it was too late, my comp crashed for like the 500th time, and the bypassing of the registry didn't work again. I finally came to the conclusion that the wireless card might be the problem and took it out, cutting myself in the process, which is just another fun bonus of things.
Anyway, after removing the card, the computer booted up fine, no errors or anything. The really funny thing was when I tried to put my important files into the shared folder before realizing that I no longer had a net connection. Ah, the demented laughter in my head. And then the whole thing dies for good. I'm never sure whether to go for a good cry or whether to get pissed and swear a lot. Usually I go with the latter.
Finally conceding defeat, I reformatted...several times. And time and again I get blue screens of death, sudden restarting, and general craptacularness. So it's pretty much a really large and expensive paperweight for the time being I think. Bastard.
