Missing

Do you ever get that feeling,
when somewhere you're going,
to the place you are heading,
that something special is waiting for you,
but when you arrive there,
and you've looked around there,
for something special to share,
there is nothing but loneliness waiting for you.
Something wonderful is coming I know,
and beautiful beyond words it shall be,
but for the moment there's naught to show,
all I have for myself right now is me.
