Bah

School wasn't too bad today, except for that test in linear algebra. That was...unpleasent. But now it's done, and I have a whole weekend to look forward to doing one of many different programs that I have to do. Blech.

I tried seeing if I could play one last day of the City of Heroes beta, but apparently they wiped everyone's characters yesterday afternoon sometime. I'm so glad I got a couple of screenshots for my fave character I made, but I'm rather ticked I didn't think to with any of my others. Especially as there's very little chance I'll ever have the money to go and buy it and the subsequent monthly payments. I don't know that many other mmorpgs, but $15 a month seems a few bucks more than the norm, but maybe that's just me. At least I get to watch Spider-man tonight. That should help a bit.

Breathing room

Struggling beneath the surface of the mire
The clutching grasping hands reach
Desperate to escape the burning scorching fire
Within the deathly earth's breach
Breath escapes with a fury of lost time
The weight pressing down so hard
Leaches strength away within the mucken slime
And it burns like a molten shard
Soiled tears leak swept far gone and away
It clutches with a greedy grasp
Not a word escapes with nothing to say
Sucking still a final leaden gasp
Twould have been better to have done and gone
To have said goodbye and no more
Not to have played once more in the murky pond
Too late sunken to the deceptive floor
Swept away with the tide after letting go
No more thoughts their own
A bloodied head from self-allowed ugly blows
All thoughts the same alone
