What is it about free food?
Feb. 13th, 2005 12:41 pmI find myself always hesitant to do things when people say free food is involved, even when the free food is the thing itself. It's not like I fear tainted food. It never even crosses my mind. Yet, as soon as the mention of free food, I feel suddenly off-kilter. I wish I knew why.
I've been thinking this morning of how I would go about explaining myself to new people. Like, if I had to give someone an example of how I think, what I find funny, stuff like that. I think that for someone to understand me, on would need to see The Simpsons, Monty Python, The Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes, The Chronicles of Narnia, a smattering of Family Guy, maybe read a few dead baby jokes, and finally, of course, throw in the Bible. So basically, I'm a christian who takes very little of the rest of the world seriously. A lot of irony and sarcasm too. There's a lot more in the deeper sense I think, but that's not so easily described or seen, so shall speak of it no further. I'm going to go think of any other funny things that would adequately describe myself...
