Feb. 28th, 2006 12:30 pmThat water boils faster at higher elevations? Up here in Colorado, we're a bit higher than most places, and thus have less air pressure. Less pressure means that water requires a slightly lower temperature to boil at. Incidentally, this means that microwave dinners always but always take longer than the maximum time on the box to cook. Which is weird. You'd think it'd take shorter, but the stuff just doesn't heat up as much or something. Maybe it's just the makers of dinners are dillweeds.
